Environmental benefits It is manufactured without releasing CO2 greenhouse gas during the melting process. Process energy consumption is much lower, by at least a third, than in conventional glass manufacture. No quarrying for raw materials is required. You need 1.2 tonnes of raw materials for every tonne of standard glass produced. By replacing standard glass with my recycled glass products, clients have the opportunity to help reduce landfill and greenhouse gas emissions. The glass used by Becker Studio is 100% recycled glass manufactured from waste glass which would otherwise end up in landfill sites.
